Ghana national team coach Otto Addo has admitted that he made mistakes in his team selection after the Black Stars suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Brazil.
Marquinhos and Richarlison (two) shared the goals as the South Americans taught Ghana a football lesson in an international friendly played in Le Havre.
“My selection was not a gamble. It was a decision of complex things. [The] line-up was good but we had to work harder to close the spaces,” said Addo after the game, as quoted by Ghana Web.
“I think I made mistakes, I learned a lot more about my players, and picking the next XI will depend on the performance in the next game.”
The defeat is a worrying one for Ghana, as they prepare to face Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H at the 2022 World Cup.
The Black Stars are set to have another friendly clash on Tuesday 27 September against Nicaragua in Spain.
