Following Kaizer Chiefs dramatic 1-0 Soweto Derby victory over Orlando Pirates this past weekend, Arthur Zwane mentioned that he was not worried about facing the axe should his side have lost at the FNB Stadium.
In what is always a keenly anticipated fixture on the PSL calendar, Chiefs and Pirates squared off in the DStv Premiership on Saturday afternoon. While it was a tense affair all afternoon, it took a half-way line shot from Yusuf Maart to decide matters between the two sides.
After the match, Zwane reiterated that the club has a plan in place and that he was not worried about facing the sack should Amakhosi have lost to their bitter rivals.
“As a club, we have a plan. We know that it will take some time to be where we want to be,” said Zwane as per IOL.
“We’ll continue to grind and work hard. I came into this match not even worried about my job.
“I wanted to help the players deal with the pressure.
“For me, pressure is a privilege. If it wasn’t a privilege, I wouldn’t be sitting here right now. There are a lot of people and coaches that want my position.”
