Eto’o makes bold WC final prediction for two African nations

Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto’o shocked the African football fraternity recently by claiming that Cameroon and Morocco will advance all the way to the 2022 World Cup final.

No team from Africa has ever made it past the quarter-final stage of the popular football showpiece, however, the ex-Barcelona and Inter Milan star believes that it is about to change.

As an outspoken football figure, Eto’o said that African sides have the potential to go far in the World Cup despite falling short in tournaments gone by.

Now though, Eto’o boldly predicted that Cameroon and Morocco will reach the final and that the Indomitable Lions will lift the trophy come the final whistle.

“Africa has always had the potential to achieve a successful World Cup, but we haven’t always shown our best face up to now,” Eto’o told ESPN, as per Daily Mail.

“During the years, African teams have acquired more and more experience, and I think they’re ready not only to participate in a World Cup, but also to win it.

“Cameroon will win the World Cup final against Morocco.

“As president of our federation, I would love to see Cameroon win the World Cup.
