Following interest from Manchester United, Bayern Munich could look to keep Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting at the club, with the Red Devils reportedly looking to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, along with United, have been major talking points in the football world recently, following the Portugal star’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

The 37-year-old spoke candidly about how United are run, his relationship with Erik Ten Hag and personal life, which is said to have left a negative impact among the executives at Old Trafford.

That said, United have reportedly showcased interest in Choupo-Moting in the last couple of months and identified the Cameroon International as a CR7 replacement.

According to Bayern Sporting Director, Hasan Salilhamidzic, the Bundesliga giants have the intention of keeping the African striker at the club.

“We’d love to keep him,” Salilhamidzic said as per GiveMeSport.

“I’ve a good relationship with his agent. We’ll meet and see if we can satisfy him.

“He’s a big asset for us. We are in contact and Choupo feels comfortable in Munich.”
