As the DStv Premiership year concludes, Kaizer Chiefs claimed a 2-0 win over Golden Arrows, while Richards Bay recorded a vital 1-0 win over Swallows FC in KwaZulu-Natal.

Richards Bay and Swallows FC got Saturday’s action underway at the King Zwelithini Stadium as the Natal Rich Boyz recorded a 1-0 victory over the Dube Birds.

The KwaZulu-Natal side dominated the encounter and saw most of the ball throughout the 90 minutes. However, Tshepo Mabua’s solitary effort from the penalty spot was enough to see Richards Bay claim all three points at home.

Over at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Kaizer Chiefs enjoyed a 2-0 win over Golden Arrows in the adjacent fixture. Abafana Bes’thende created more goal scoring opportunities in the tie and at times, outclassed the Soweto giants.

However, Amakhosi made the most of their chances, as goals from Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Edmilson Dove earned Chiefs three vital points in Durban.

In the final match of the year, Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.

As a largely frustrating evening for both sides, Babina Noko and Usuthu struggled to create any noteworthy goal scoring opportunities and eventually ended the tie in an underwhelming stalemate.
