Chelsea center-back Kalidou Koulibaly has come under fire by former Premier League star Jamie O’Hara, as the Senegalese captain struggles to impress in the Premier League.

In signing for the English giants at the beginning of the 2022/23 season, high expectations were placed on Koulibaly given his reputation as being one of Europe’s most sought after centre-backs.

With one win in their last seven Premier League games, Graham Potter has found the going tough at Stamford Bridge, as O’Hara made his feelings known about the club’s current state of affairs.

The outspoken football figure also bemoaned Koulibaly’s displays this season and mentioned that the African star is ‘miles off’ the pace.

“They look weak in midfield, weak upfront. If it wasn’t for Thiago Silva I would say they were poor at the back. Thiago Silva is an absolute Rolls Royce,” O’Hara said as per TalkSport.

“Kalidou Koulibaly – I don’t know what they have seen in him. because I think he’s miles off it.

“The rest of them, I’m not convinced at all. Bang average.”
