‘Osimhen doing better than Lukaku’

Former Inter Milan star Radja Nainggolan has praised Victor Osimhen’s showings for Napoli this season and compared the Nigerian striker to that of Romelu Lukaku, who has found the going tough in his second spell in Italy.

Currently on loan from Chelsea, Lukaku missed the majority of the 2022/23 season and is currently nursing a niggling thigh injury.

As for Osimhen, the Napoli forward has 10 goals in 14 appearances to his name as his stock in European football continues to rise. The African star caught the eye of Nainggolan, who praised his efforts ahead of Napoli’s clash against Inter.

“Who would have thought that Osimhen would’ve done better than Lukaku,” Nainggolan told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“Instead, the Nigerian runs for three and is also very strong in pressing.

“Spalletti’s organisation makes a difference.”
