Zwane: ‘I don’t like players who drink & smoke’

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane said that discipline is part of his working ethos and that he doesn’t like players who smoke and drink.

Known as ‘10111’ in South African football circles, Zwane has reservations on players who drink and smoke and mentioned that he himself does not go to parties.

As he looks to take Amakhosi back to the pinnacle of PSL football, Zwane mentioned that he is a difficult mentor to work with given his stance on discipline.

“I am the most difficult coach to work with,” Zwane said as per the TimesLive.

“Discipline comes first with me and I always remind them that I don’t like players who drink and smoke for many reasons.

“I don’t go to parties, even if something happening at home. I will show up for one hour and leave for obvious reasons. I am not saying they must’nt socialise.

“I am saying a complete footballer needs to know what he wants in his career.”
