In the latest round of DStv Premiership fixtures, Mamelodi Sundowns recorded their eighth straight league win, while Swallows FC claimed maximum points in a 2-0 win over Chippa United in Soweto.

The reigning league champions travelled to the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday evening where they faced a tricky test in the form of Richards Bay FC.

However, Downs dominated the tie as goals from Cassius Mailula and Haashim Domingo were enough for the Brazilians to walk away with all three points.

Over in Soweto, Swallows FC and Chippa United squared off at the Dobsonville Stadium, as the home team recorded a 2-0 victory.

In what was a game of two-halves, The Dube Birds dominated possession in the first-half, while the Chilli Boys found success in the subsequent 45.

Nonetheless, it was Swallows FC who made the most of their chances as Mbulelo Wambi and Kagiso Malinga got their names on the scoresheet against the Gqeberha outfit.
