Former Red urges Keita & Bellingham swap

With Naby Keita being linked with a move away from Liverpool, a former Reds star has suggested that the club use Naby Keita in a swap deal to lure Jude Bellingham to the Premier League.

Keita, who will be out-of-contract at the end of the season, is yet to sign a new deal at Anfield amid talk of a potential exit.

The African star was deemed to be one of Europe’s most sought after midfielders before his move to Melwood in 2018 and was linked with a number of the game’s biggest clubs at the time.

However, the 27-year-old endured an injury laden spell during this time and struggled to cement his place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI.

Now though, former Red Don Hutchinson has suggested that Keita be used in a swap deal to secure the services of Jude Bellingham.

The England international is one of the hottest properties in football at the moment and has strongly been linked with a move to Liverpool in the last couple of months.

“You have to make sure you don’t just panic,” Hutchinson told ESPN, as per Liverpool.com.

“Speaking to Bellingham’s mum and dad. Speaking to Dortmund. Speaking to the player. Trying to be cute and offer maybe Keïta to Dortmund, or whatever you see fit.

“But they have got to make sure that they don’t just panic.”
