With a plethora of quality midfielders to choose from, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has singled out one of his players as being among the best on the continent.

The Brazilians have been in formidable form as of late and are currently on a run of 10 straight wins in the DStv Premiership. Downs have looked particularly impressive under the tutelage of Mokwena, following the club’s decision to appoint the young mentor as head coach.

Downs will now shift their attention on SuperSport United, as the two sides gear up to face each other in the keenly anticipated Tshwane Derby.

In looking to spark motivation within the squad, Mokwena singled out the performances of Teboho Mokwena and mentioned that the midfielder may be one of the best players in Africa at the moment.

“I think, in my opinion, this season in the country, there’s very few that at his level,” Mokwena said as per iDiski Times.

“Even on the continent, I think there are very few.”
