Nigeria international Terem Moffi has been described as a ‘killer’ by former FC Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
The 23-year-old striker made his debut for OGC Nice as they defeated Olympique Marseille 3-1 in a French Ligue 1 match on Sunday at the Stade Orange Vélodrome.
Moffi was praised by his Nice teammate Todibo who described the African star as a killer and difficult to defend against.
“Is it difficult to defend against Terem Moffi? Back to the game, he is a very very good player. He keeps the ball a lot,” Todibo told Amazon Prime, via Le10sport.
“He stretched our lines a lot. I think stopping him is complicated, because in the box he’s a killer. You shouldn’t leave too much space.
“It was hard to defend against him, but unfortunately for him, he never scored against us ”
Moffi, who is one of the top strikers based in France, signed for Nice from fellow Ligue 1 club FC Lorient on Tuesday on loan until the end of the season.
The deal has an obligation-to-buy for €30 million and a 15% sell-on clause in favor of Lorient.
He is expected to be included in the Nigeria squad that will face Guinea Bisssau in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers next month.
