Having been linked with a move away from Liverpool, it’s been reported that Naby Keita has attracted interest from numerous clubs, including former side RB Leipzig.

Keita signed for Liverpool in 2018 and came to England with a big reputation of being one of Europe’s most sought after midfielders. Following a promising start, it has not gone to plan for the Guinean midfielder as he struggled to be a regular at the club.

Inconsistent performances and injury woes halted Keita’s progress in the last couple of seasons, hence being linked with an Anfield exit.

According to Sky Sports Germany’s reporter Florian Plettenberg, Keita is expected to leave as a free agent at the end of the 22/23 campaign, while 90MIN reports that the African star could return to former club, RB Leipzig.

“The 27-year-old is on the verge to leave #LFC as a free agent in summer!,” Plettenberg tweeted.

“Contract extension unlikely at this stage. Many clubs are interested to sign him.

“But he won’t join Galatasaray. His return to [Germany] is not excluded. Regular starter in the last 4 matches.”
