Hargreaves: Why Osimhen is the perfect striker

Nigerian star Victor Osimhen has been described as the perfect centre forward by Manchester United legend Owen Hargreaves.

This comes after the 24-year-old striker grabbed a brace as SSC Napoli thrashed German side Eintracht Frankfurt in an UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday.

As a result, the Italian Serie A log leaders progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after winning the tie 5-0 on aggregate.

Hargreaves highlighted that Osimhen, who was named Man of the Match, is on the wishlist of many top European clubs.

“They attack in numbers. Politano with a great first touch, Di Lorenzo there, Osimhen there. They just overload you, he’s always there Osimhen,” Hargreaves said on BT Sport according to All Nigeria Soccer.

“He’s a great athlete, runs the channels, he’s got size. He’s literally a perfect center forward, no wonder everybody is chasing him.”

Osimhen has been linked with Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea FC and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

His contract with Napoli will expire in 2025 having joined the club from French side OSC Lille for a club-record fee of €70 million.
