‘Al Ahly want to keep Tau’

With South African international Percy Tau attracting interest from Europe, it’s been reported that Al Ahly are set to offer the attacker a new deal to keep him at the club.

After a turbulent spell last season, it appears that the former Mamelodi Sundowns man is back to his best and has attracted interest from clubs in Europe.

It is believed that Burnley is keeping tabs on his current situation with Al Ahly, while Kick-off recently reported that Anderlecht are also interested in his services.

The same report mentioned that Al Ahly want to keep Tau at the club and that they are set to offer him a new deal to ward off attractions from clubs elsewhere.

“Al Ahly want to keep Percy Tau beyond his current contract,” A source told KickOff.

“The club are aware of interest in Europe and want to tie him down to a new contract as soon as possible.

“There is also new interest in Belgium with Anderlecht watching the contract situation between the player and Al Ahly closely.’
