Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah moved up on the list of Liverpool FC’s all-time leading scorers after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.
The world class winger netted the Reds’ third goal as they claimed a 4-3 victory over Spurs in an English Premier League encounter which took place at Anfield.
Salah is now placed sixth on the English giants’ all-time leading men’s scorers – two goals behind Steven Gerrard who is considered the greatest player in the history of the club.
“Mohamed Salah has now climbed to outright sixth place on the list of Liverpool’s all-time leading men’s scorers,” a club statement read.
“The Egyptian increased his total for the Reds to 184 with his penalty against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
“In doing so, he moved above Anfield legend Robbie Fowler, who amassed 183 goals in all competitions across his two spells with the club.
“Salah is also now on the brink of entering the top five, sitting just two strikes shy of fifth-placed Steven Gerrard (186 goals) among Liverpool’s greatest ever marksmen.”
Liverpool are set to take on Fulham FC at Anfield on Wednesday as Premier League action continues.
