Nigerian starlet Victor Boniface has opened up about his imposing physique as he continues to dazzle for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

The strongly-built striker has netted seven goals and provided seven assists in the Belgian First Division A this season and he is also the joint-top scorer in the UEFA Europa League with six goals.

Boniface, who tends to use his imposing physique to bully opposition defenders, revealed that he is not a fan of going to the gym.

“That is not for me. I do not like that. All my muscles are a gift from Mother Nature. If I did too much strength training, I would become lethargic,” Boniface told Het Nieuwsblad per GFNB.

“I lived with my grandparents. Grandpa was in the army, I grew up in the military domain. I often played football there with my uncles.”

The 22-year-old signed a four-year contract with Saint-Gilloise when he joined the club from Danish side FK Bodø/Glimt.

Boniface is yet to play for his country, but he was included in the Nigeria Under-20 squad for the 2019 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

However, he had to withdraw from the squad due to injury.
