Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah expressed his delight after grabbing Liverpool FC’s winning goal in their 1-0 win over Brentford on Saturday.

The close-range finish was the 30-year-old winger’s 100th goal at Liverpool’s iconic home ground, Anfield and took him into joint-fifth place on the club’s all-time scorers list, level with Steven Gerrard.

“It means a lot to me. I said before, I feel [at] home here, I’m happy,” Salah said on the club’s official website.

“We just need to finish the season [in] the best possible way. But as much as I’m scoring goals, the team is winning games – that’s the most important thing.”

It was also Salah’s 30th goal of the season in all competitions and saw him become the first player in Liverpool’s history to net in nine consecutive home games.

“It’s something that makes me proud, to be fair. I work really hard and everybody knows that, everybody sees that,” he added.

“I’m just motivated to keep breaking records and just scoring goals and winning games for the team.”

Salah and his Liverpool teammates will now face Leicester City on May 15 in another Premier League clash.
