Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reserved special praise for midfielder Naby Keita, who recently bid farewell to the Anfield faithful.
The Guinean midfielder signed for Liverpool in 2018 and at the time, arrived in England as one of Europe’s most sought after midfielders.
However, his time with the Reds has not gone to plan and struggled to cement his place in the team, owing to injuries and inconsistent performances.
After his recent farewell celebrations at Anfield, Klopp mentioned that Keita was an important player for the club when called upon.
“When people think about Naby, they probably think a few too many injuries in the time as well,” Klopp said, as per Liverpool Echo.
“ But, when you look back at important games, you will realise how often he played in super important games for us and how often he performed in these games.”
