Juan Carlos Osario is facing an uncertain future at Zamalek after revealing he has offers from Mexico amid reported interest from Club America.
The Colombian tactician only joined the White Knights on April 13 as a permanent replacement for Jesualdo Ferreira, who was sacked the previous month following a poor run of results.
Osario is hoping to guide the 2021-22 Egyptian Premier League champions to a top-two finish this season as Al Ahly are set to dethrone them, having opened up a nine-point gap over their arch-rivals with six games in hand.
Osario’s side trail Pyramids (2nd) by eight points in fourth place after playing out to a 1-1 draw with strugglers El Dakhleya on Monday and the 61-year-old insisted afterwards that he’s happy at the club despite being linked with the Eagles job.
“I am very clear. I got several opportunities to work in Mexico, but I am very happy in Zamalek,” he declared after picking up his eight point in five matches at the helm.
The Liga MX giants are in the market for a new head coach after Fernando Ortiz resigned in the wake of the 3-1 defeat to Guadalajara in the Clausura semi-finals.
