Three-time African champions Raja Casablanca have denied making an approach for Pitso Mosimane following his exploits in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli.
Mosimane guided the Royal back to the Saudi Pro League at the first attempt after winning the First Division League title on Tuesday with a game to spare.
The South African tactician appears to be ready for a new challenge as he took to Twitter afterwards to declare that he is “waiting for the next project”, having “delivered on our mandate”.
Al-Ahli president Walid Moaz added fuel to the fire when he stated the club’s “ambition is greater” after revealing that Mosimane’s future will be decided at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Mondher Kebaier has come under increasing pressure at Raja after a 0-0 draw with Ittihad Tanger on Sunday extended his side’s winless run in the Botola Pro to seven matches.
The Green Eagles are out of contention for the league title as they trail leaders AS FAR by 18 points in sixth place with four games left to play.
However, the club have poured cold water on rumours that they have signalled out Mosimane to replace Kebaier, whose team reached the CAF Champions League quarter-finals before bowing out to Al Ahly.
“The club did not enter into negotiations with Pitso Mosimane in order to be a substitute for Tunisian Mondher Kebaier,” a spokesperson told Yallakora.
