Ghanaian Football Association (GFA) has congratulated Andre Ayew after the veteran player received a Premier League accolade.
The 33-year-old midfielder-come-forward came on as a late substitute in the 3-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion to make his 100th Premier League appearance on April 26.
Ayew, who began his professional career at French giants Olympique Marseille, has now received an accolade from the Premier League as a reward for his accomplishment.
The GFA has since expressed their pride in Ayew’s accomplishments and commended his dedication to the sport.
“Big πππππππππππππππ to our captain Andre Ayew on his 100th Premier League appearance,” a statement read.
“This milestone began at Swansea City on August 8, 2015 against Chelsea FC – later moved to West Ham United and now Nottingham Forest. We are proud of you.”
In February 2023, after Ayew was released by Qatar’s Al Sadd, the former Fenerbahce star joined Nottingham on a contract until the end of the current season.
He has made 12 competitive appearances for Nottingham thus far.
