Koulibaly on ‘good future’ at Chelsea

Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly recently admitted that he had a ‘hard welcome’ into the Premier League during his debut season with the Blues.

The Ivorian joined the London giants ahead of the 2022/23 campaign as one of Europe’s best defenders but soon found the going tough, as her learned about the Premier League rigors.

Reflecting on his debut season with Chelsea, Koulibaly believes that he is all set for next season after getting accustomed to the English top flight.

“It is true it was difficult season,” Koulibaly told Chelsea ‘s official website.

“For me it was a very hard welcome because to come to the Premier League and have a season like this was not what I was thinking about, but football is like this, life is like this.

“You have to learn from every moment of this season to not do it again next season. For me it was a good season to understand the football in the Premier League, it was a big chance for me.

“I learn a lot about me, I learn a lot about the club and football in the Premier League so for the future it will be good.”
