It’s been reported that Chelsea could use Ivorian defender Kalidou Koulibaly in a swap deal, as the Blues look to bolster their goalkeeping department.
Koulibaly joined Chelsea ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, where he signed from Napoli in a deal worth €40 million.
At the time, the African star joined the English giants as one of the most sought after defenders in the world, however, things did not go according to plan for the towering center-back. After finding the going tough in the Premier League, Koulibaly was subsequently linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
According to La Repubblica, as per SportBible, Chelsea are keen on signing Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. The same report mentions that the Blues could include Koulibaly in a swap deal, with the club said to be ‘strong admirers’ of the former Ajax Amsterdam star.
Chelsea are expected to undergo a major overhaul ahead of the new campaign, under the tutelage of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
