Amrabat set for United medical

After being heavily linked with Manchester United in the last couple of weeks, it’s now been reported that Sofyan Amrabat could complete his move to the Red Devils in the coming hours.

On the back of a stellar 2022/23 season with Fiorentina, including an influential showing with Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, Amrabat was subsequently linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

United manager Erik Ten Hag is said to be an admirer of the 26-year-old, with Football Insider 247 reporting that Amrabat has been given the green light to travel to Manchester for ‘talks and a medical’.

The same report mentions that United are now putting the final touches in place for what is being described as a ‘marquee’ signing.

Also, various reports in the media suggested that Nottingham Forest and Liverpool showcased interest in the African star, however, United appeared to have made a breakthrough in negotiations on a reported £30million transfer.
