Friday 8 September will feature three Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches, with six teams which all already know their fate in regards to the next edition of the continental championship.
The action opens in Group D in the early evening, as Egypt host Ethiopia in Cairo. The Pharaohs have already secured qualification and need only a point to guarantee top spot ahead of Guinea (who will play Malawi on Saturday), while the Walia Ibex will hope to end their campaign on a high and move out of the wooden spoon position in the group.
Egypt will be without star man Mohamed Salah, who is being allowed a little extra rest but should return for their friendly against Tunisia four days later.
In the first of two night kick-offs, attention turns to Group B as Burkina Faso and Eswatini meet at the Marrakesh Stadium in Morocco. The Burkinabe have already secured qualification and will look to end top of the table ahead of Cape Verde (who will be away to Togo on Sunday), while Sihlangu Semnikati will finish bottom of the standings regardless of the result.
The final match of the evening comes from Group G, as already-qualified Mali host already-eliminated South Sudan in Bamako.
The Eagles have now qualified for nine successive AFCONs and will look to use this clash as a tune-up for a friendly against Ivory Coast in Abidjan next week.
