Ghana head coach Chris Hughton was pleased with the outcome of their match against the Central African Republic (CAR) on Friday evening.
Goals from Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah earned the Black Stars a 2-1 win over CAR who had opened the scoring through Louis Mafouta at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Therefore, Ghana qualified for their 10th consecutive Africa Cup of Nations finals while also finishing at the top of the Group E standings.
“For me it is always about the ending the ending is we won the game. I think in the end we could have won it more comfortably with more goals,” Hughton said on Sports World Ghana.
“So we continue to work in international football you don’t have the players for very long and the squad can change from one game to the next,” he added.
“So you do the best you can from the period of time you have.”
Ghana’s next game is against Liberia on September 12 and the international friendly match will be played at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.
