Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic recently came out and mentioned that he did not always get along with Andre Onana.

Handanovic responded to previous comments made by Onana, in which the Cameroonian star mentioned that his start to life in Italy wasn’t easy.

Onana spent one year with Inter before moving to United, as the African star made a name for himself during Inter’s mazy run in last season’s UEFA Champions League campaign. Now retired, Handanovic said that he and Onana did not see eye-to-eye, particularly in the first couple of months of his arrival at the club.

“I liked those words, but I didn’t like his behaviour in the first two months, when he didn’t play,” Handanovic told Gazzetta dello Sport, as per 90MIN.

“Then he told the truth, and it must be added that I was always consistent with him and even helped him.

“No-one, however, said that last season I had injuries that penalised me, a broken wrist, a broken finger and a strained calf.

“But I always went on the bench with the team even when I was unavailable. And I would never go against the club out of belonging to the club and the fans.”
