Former Ghanaian international Augustine Arhinful has explained why Inaki Williams is yet to score for the Black Stars.

The Athletic Bilbao forward changed his international allegiance from Spain to Ghana in July 2022 and he has since played nine matches for the Black Stars without scoring.

Arhinful believes that the lack of service is the primary reason for his struggles while playing for the West African giants.

“He is not receiving the necessary services in the Black Stars,” Arhinful said on Ghana Soccer Net.

“I believe he is being played out of position because in Bilbao he plays from the flanks.

“He has never been the central striker, so the coach should identify where he can play and fit him.”

Williams is one of the top forwards in La Liga having hit the back of the net 86 times from 387 matches in the Spanish top-flight.

He played once for Spain without scoring before he changed his international allegiance to Ghana.
