Despite being linked with a move away from Arsenal in recent months, it’s been reported that Arsenal have no intention of selling Thomas Partey any time soon.

With Arsenal making alterations to their midfield department ahead of the 2023/24 season, Partey appeared to have dropped down the pecking order at the club.

Following the big money acquisition of Declan Rice, Partey was often played in the right-back position to accommodate the Englishman.

Since the start of the season, Partey has been linked with a move away from the club as he struggles to cement his place in Mikel Arteta’s starting XI. Adding to his woes, the Ghanaian is currently sidelined with a long-term injury which further added fuel to the fire regarding a potential exit.

Now though, according to Football Insider, Arsenal have no intention of selling Partey in the January transfer window. According to transfer specialist Steve Kay, a move in the summer transfer window may be a ‘different story’.

“Despite recent rumours saying that Thomas Partey could leave in the January transfer window, Mikel Arteta has no intention of selling him,” Kay revealed.

“It has also been rumoured Partey is unhappy with his lack of game time. This, I’m told, is also untrue. There are no plans to sit down and talk about a new deal, however, so the summer may be a different story in regards to him leaving.”
