TS Galaxy goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari intends to work closely with Rwanda head coach Gerard Buschier to plot South Africa’s downfall in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Wasps open their qualifying campaign at home to Zimbabwe on Wednesday, November 15 before hosting Bafana Bafana in Butare again six days later.

Ntwari is plying his trade in South Africa with the Rockets, having joined Sead Ramovic’s side from AS Kigali in the off-season and made his debut in the Carling Knockout.

The 24-year-old shotstopper, who played a key role for Galaxy in the shootout victories over Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune United, revealed he will do his best to feed Buschier as much information as possible on the Bafana players to help his team prepare for the encounter at the Huye Stadium.

Ntwari admits that Buschier is still getting to know the players in his squad after being handed the reins in August, but he’s confident in their ability to get the desired result on home soil.

“I am the only Rwandan player who plays here in SA. I’ll help my team with information because I know many South African players,” he said.

“I will help the coach by telling him more about the South African players. I can’t tell you about the system we play because we have a new coach now and he doesn’t know many players.

“But the players in the squad have played together for almost two years. I think we will play well, especially because we’ll be at home.”
