Nigeria head coach Jose Peseiro has recalled Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi to the Super Eagles squad.
The bulky player is among a list of 23 players called up for this month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles will start their qualifying campaign against Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo next week Thursday, and then fly to Rwanda for a clash with the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Huye Stadium in Butare on Sunday, 19th November.
