West Ham United manager David Moyes reserved special praise for African star Mohammed Kudus, after the Ghanaian inspired the Hammers to a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.

The former Ajax Amsterdam attacker has made his first impressions count in the Premier League this season and produced one of his best performances in a West Ham shirt this past weekend.

With the Hammers trailing up until the 86th minute, Kudus waved his magic in the last 10 minutes of the match and provided an assist to Tomas Soucek’s 91st minute winner at Turf Moor.

That said, Moyes expressed his delight at Kudus’ performance and attitude, especially after a tough international break in Africa.

“I’m glad I’m hearing Mo wanted to put things right because that’s the attitude I want to hear from all my players,” Moyes said, as per the West Ham Way.

“He had a really hard day because he’s been away on international duty all over Africa for games and he came back really late and had very little training.

“In the last ten minutes he lit it up for us, he started to do better. He was quiet for long periods in the day today, but we were generally quiet and we didn’t play as well as we could have done, especially in the first half. In the second half we played and looked more threatening than we did in the first.”
