Arteta provides crucial Partey injury update

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shed light on Thomas Partey’s injury situation ahead of the Gunner’s all-important Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Ghanaian has struggled with injury for much of the 2023/24 domestic campaign and also, missed out on representing the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Now though, with the Liverpool tie on the horizon, Areta confirmed that Partey suffered yet another injury setback and that it could be a matter of weeks before he returns to full fitness.
“With Thomas unfortunately we had a little setback a few days ago,” Arteta said, as per Football London.
“He’s not going to be available in the squad. We’ll see if it’s a matter of days or weeks. But he had a little thing.
“I’m not a doctor, but he felt something in a very similar area and he wasn’t able to train the last few days.”
