It’s been reported that Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey could return to action sooner than expected as Arsenal look to push for the 2023/24 Premier League crown.
The holding midfielder struggled to cement his place in Mikel Arteta’s starting XI in the last couple of seasons, owing to long-term injury spells which halted his progress under a blossoming Gunners’ outfit.
Partey missed the majority of the 2023/24 campaign after sustaining a thigh injury in November last year. Now though, according to journalist Charles Watts, the African star might not require further operations en-route to full fitness.
“As far as I’m aware he will not be available again this weekend against West Ham, that will come too soon for him,” Watts told Inside Arsenal, as per TBR Football.
“I have been told we’re not talking about another operation or anything like that,”
“It’s going to be quick, in terms of when he will be back training with the squad. It doesn’t look like it will be a long-term thing which is good news.”
