According to various reports in the media, Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah could miss the upcoming Carabao Cup final against Chelsea this weekend.

Wembley will see Chelsea and Liverpool compete for the first bit of silverware in English football on Sunday, with Reds heading into the tie with a growing injury list.

With Jurgen Klopp without star players such as Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah’s fitness has been described as ‘touch-and-go’ by the Liverpool Echo.

The Egyptian suffered another injury setback after marking his return to action against Brentford last weekend.

According to Klopp, the English giants will now have to make do with what they have and mentioned that he is unsure about Salah’s overall fitness ahead of the Cup final.

“The situation is not great, absolutely not, we don’t have to make that now nicer than it is,” Klopp said, as per Liverpool Echo.

“But obviously for us there are now a lot of super-important games coming up, and we don’t know, we go day by day.

“I cannot say anything about it and I don’t know. But after Brentford, I had no clue the situation would be like it was now. So, let’s see.”
