'Yes, 100%' - Kudus confident of UEL title success

Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus strongly believes that West Ham United can win the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League title.

The English club will take on German Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg in the two-legged Round of 16 in Europe’s secondary club football tournament next month.

Kudus, 23, has become an integral part of the Hammers set-up since moving to the club from Dutch giants Ajax in August 2023, scoring six goals in 21 Premier League appearances so far this term.

“We are in Europe now and want to make an impact as we won it last year, while we also want to challenge the top six teams in the league.

“Yes, 100% [we can win the UEFA Europa League]. We won the UEFA Europa Conference League last year, so we have the same mentality and approach every single game the same. It’s very possible.”

Kudus grabbed an assist as West Ham beat Brentford FC 4-2 in a Premier League match on Monday and the Hammers will now face Everton FC on Saturday.
