Simba SC head coach Abdelhak Benchikha’s strategy can outwit African champions Al Ahly.
This is according to Simba captain Mohamed Hussein with the Tanzanian giants set to host Al Ahly in the first-leg of their CAF Champions League quarter-final tie on Friday.
Simba are the underdogs against the Egyptian giants who are looking to go all the way and clinch a record-extending 12th Champions League title this season.
The East African club is under the guidance of Algerian coach Benchikha who guided USM Alger to last season’s CAF Confederation Cup triumph.
“It is true that Al-Ahly is a great team and has a lot of experience in this stage,” Hussein said on CAF Online.
“But Simba has a great coach who knows his opponents well. I believe that Abdelhak Benchikha’s methods and his commitment will be the key to success.”
The eagerly anticipated match will take place at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
