Asante Kotoko legend Wilberforce Mfum believes the club’s current players should be beaten by the fans for their poor outings.
Ghana’s biggest football club has been struggling since the turn of the year having recorded just a win in their last seven competitive matches.
The Porcupine Warriors’ poor results have put the players and coach Prosper Narteh Ogum under massive pressure.
Kotoko are currently sitting ninth on the Ghanaian Premier League standings with 32 points after 23 games having lost four successive games.
“I think the players have never been beaten before, they should have been beaten by the fans after losing streak so they understand their worth,” Mfum said on Football Ghana.
“How can you be bought with a large sum of money and then given such a poor performance?” he quizzed.
Kotoko will be desperate to snap their four-match winless run when they take on Bechem United on Saturday.
