According to reports in the media, Manchester United striker coach Benni McCarthy could leave the Red Devils at the end of the season.

The former Porto star joined Erik Ten Hag’s coaching staff in July 2022 in what was a move that made shockwaves throughout the Man United fan base.

Responsible for fine tuning United’s attacking department, McCarthy was largely accredited to Marcus Rashford’s form during the 2022/23 campaign where the forward recorded 30 goals and 10 assists in 56 games.

Now though, according to ESPN, McCarthy faces an ‘uncertain’ future at the club with his contract set to expire in the summer.

The same report mentions that United ‘declined’ to comment when asked about McCarthy’s future, which added further question marks on the South African legend’s immediate future.
