AmaZulu FC and Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways in Saturday’s DStv Premiership matches.

The first game of the day saw Usuthu come from behind to claim a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chippa United who were leading at half-time thanks to Sinoxolo Kwayiba’s goal.

Tshepang Moremi and Hendrick Ekstein netted in the second-half to earn AmaZulu the win. Therefore, AmaZulu and Chippa are placed 10th, and ninth respectively in the standings.

Meanwhile, Man of the Match Christian Saile grabbed a goal and an assist to propel Kaizer Chiefs to a 2-1 victory over SuperSport United who remain winless in the league in 2024.

The win snapped Amakhosi’s five-match winless run and they climbed up to the eighth spot in the league standings as the battle to finish in the top eight intensifies.

Lastly, Iqraam Rayners was in his element as Stellenbosch FC thumped Polokwane City 5-0 with the Bafana Bafana striker remarkably scoring five times on the night.

The impressive victory saw Stellies strengthen their grip on the second spot in the standings while struggling Rise and Shine extended their winless run to five matches.
