Following yet another eventful week in the CAF Confederations Cup, USM Alger withdrew from their second-leg clash against RSB Berkane while Zamalek crushed Dreams to reach the finals of the popular competition.

After a controversial kit dispute during the first-leg, USM Alger has decided to withdraw from the second-leg semifinals clash against RSB Berkane which was scheduled to take place at Stade Municipal de Berkane on Sunday.

CAF awarded Berkane a 3-0 victory in the first leg which was cancelled last Sunday after the Moroccan club’s shirts, which sported the country’s map on it, were confiscated by the Algerian officials. Only the home players took the field this past Sunday in Berkane as the stadium announcer told the crowd the match had been cancelled.

Elsewhere, Zamalek put three goals past Dreams FC in their second-leg clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

With the aggregate score tied at 0-0 ahead of the final clash, goals by Hamza Mathlouthi, Samson Akinyoola and Mostafa Shalaby were enough for the Egyptian side to qualify for the final of the tournament.

Results:

Sunday, 28 April

Dreams (0) 0-3 (3) Zamalek

RSB Berkane (3) 3-0 (0) USM Alger
