RSB Berkane coach Mouin Chaabani is hoping to secure the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup  title with a ‘changed strategy’ this weekend as the Moroccan outfit travel to Egypt to face Zamalek in their second-leg encounter at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday evening.

Kick-off is at 7:00pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)

The Moroccan outfit will head into the second-leg with a slender advantage over their Egyptian counterparts, following their 2-1 win in the first-leg at the Berkane Municipal Stadium last Sunday.

Goals by Issoufou Dayo and Adil Tahif were enough for RSB Berkane to secure the victory on the night, while Seifeddine Jaziri netted a crucial away goal for his side.

Reflecting on the upcoming tie, RSB Berkane coach Mouin Chaabani expressed that changes will be needed to overcome the popular Egyptian outfit on their own turf.

“We are going to Egypt, and we know it will not be an easy game. We have to change our strategy and ensure we rectify our mistakes to be able to get positive results”, Chaabani said.

With Zamalek looking to secure their second CAF Confederations Cup title, coach of the Royal Club Jose Gomes hopes for a better overall performance from his side in Cairo.

“I am not happy with the way we started the game [first leg] and not happy with how we conceded goals,” Gomes said.

“I can’t say we played badly, but we didn’t play as we wanted. We prepared well for this game to come and win. Now we will have to prepare for the next game in Cairo, and we hope for a better game.”
