Libya will battle it out with Mauritius in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Thursday, 6 June.

Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.

The Group D encounter will take place at the Martyrs of February Stadium in the second-most-populous city in Libya, Benghazi.

Libya’s Mediterranean Knights were in action on 27 March as they drew 1-1 with Togo in an international friendly match.

The Mediterranean Knights have accumulated four points from their first two matches in Group D as they secured a win over Eswatini and drew with Cameroon.

The North African side are currently third on Group D standings – level on points with leaders Cameroon.

Ahmed Krawa’a – who scored Libya’s winning goal against Eswatini – will be looking to inspire his nation to a win over Mauritius.

Meanwhile, the last time Mauritius were in action was in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as they suffered a 2-1 loss to Chad on 26 March.

Therefore, the Dodos have one point from their first two matches in Group D which sees them placed fifth in the standings with eight matches left.

Ashley Nazira – who has scored 10 goals in 27 matches for Mauritius – will carry the Dodos’ hopes of securing a win in Libya.

In Head-to-Head record, this will be the first-ever meeting between Libya and Mauritius.
