Angola walked away with a 1-0 victory over Eswatini in their CAF 2026 World Cup qualifying game at Estadio 11 de Novembro on Friday evening.
The result means that Angola are second in Group D behind Libya following their win, and Eswatini remain rooted at the bottom of the standings with no points following a third successive loss.
The match was pretty much one-way traffic with Angola dominating the game from start to finish. An early goal courtesy of Mabululu in the second minute was enough to get the job done against Sihlangu Semnikati.
There was plenty of drama in the first half, Eswatini goalkeeper Sibusiso Dlamini suffered a head injury following a challenge and was stretchered off the pitch in an unconscious state.
Following this, the players got physical in retaliation on the pitch and had to be separated by the referee. The match resumed following the stoppages and the match followed the same trend as the Black Sable Antelopes continued to dominate possession.
It was a good effort from the visitors to not concede any more goals as it was a busy day in their half. As the full-time whistle came, the scoreline was still 1-0 seeing Angola grab all the points in this World Cup qualifying match.
