Sao Tome and Principe will face off with Liberia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Sunday, 9 June.
Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.
The Group H match will be played at Sao Tome and Principe’s temporary home ground, Stade Municipal d’Oujda in Oujda, Morocco.
The Falcons and True Parrots Team are licking their wounds at the moment having succumbed to a 3-1 loss to Malawi away on 6 June
Therefore, Sao Tome and Principe remain winless in Group H having lost their first three matches against Tunisia, Namibia and Malawi.
The Falcons and True Parrots are currently placed sixth in the Group H standings – level on points with fifth-placed Equatoria Guinea who are also winless.
Having scored his side’s consolation goal against Malawi, Denilson Silva will be looking to inspire Sao Tome and Principe to a stunning win.
Meanwhile, Liberia showed character as they fought back to hold Namibia to a 1-1 draw away on 5 June.
The Lone Stars of Liberia have four points from their first three matches in Group H which sees them placed fourth in the standings.
Liberia succumbed to a defeat before securing a win over Equatorial Guinea and a draw against Namibia followed.
Terry Sackor – who netted the equalizer against Namibia, will be keen to score once again and help his nation secure a win over Sao Tome and Principe.
In Head-to-Head stats, Sao Tome and Principe, and Liberia have met four times across all competitions.
Liberia have the edge in this rivalry having won three matches compared to Sao Tome and Principe’s one win.
