Namibia were unable to breakthrough against Tunisia as they played to a goalless draw stalemate in their CAF 2026 World Cup qualifier at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday evening.

The result means that both teams in Group H remain in first and second place in the standings with 10 and eight points respectively.

Although Namibia were hoping to replicate their result in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations when they defeated the North Africans in the group stages, it was not to be even though they dominated the match.

As the match started it was clear that the Brave Warriors meant business, as they almost went ahead early in the second half through Deon Hotto, but the whistle was blown as Bechir Ben Said was fouled as the ball went into the back of the net, rendering the goal invalid.

With the scoreline goalless at the break, Tunisia went into the second stanza with a mission to score and kept possession more. However, Namibia were resilient and had their own fair share of chances on goal.

Ultimately, the match ended without a goal in Johannesburg and 24-year-old attacker Bethuel Muzeu had a standout performance in the game.
