On the back of a victory in their latest CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, Madagascar could make it three wins on the spin when they face Mali at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 3:00pm CAT

Madagascar are among the top performing nations in the CAF 2026 World Cup qualifiers so far and currently occupy top spot in Group I with six points to their name after three matches played.

Barea recorded a 2-1 win against Comoros in their latest assignment where Rayan Raveloson inspired his team with a well-taken brace at the FNB Stadium.

Prior to their result in Johannesburg, Barea recorded a 1-0 defeat to Ghana in their initial qualifier, which was followed by a resounding 3-0 victory against Chag thereafter.

While Madagascar yielded positive results in their qualifying campaign, Mali’s inconsistent form has led them to 4th position in Group I after three matches played.

The Eagles suffered a 2-1 loss against Ghana in their most recent encounter, as goals by Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew put Mali to the sword at Stade 26 Mars last week Thursday.

Mali’s only victory in the CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers came on the 17th of November 2023, where they recorded a 3-1 win against Chad at Stade 26 Mars.
