The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd FIFA World Cup. The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. It will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.


Matches are taking place from Wednesday, 05 June 2024 – Tuesday, 11 June 2024.

23h02 – Full-Time: Burkina Faso 2-2 Sierra Leone (Ouattara 41′, L Traore 45’+2, Kargbo 58′ Bakayoko 88′): The result leaves the Stallions and Leone Stars placed third, and fourth respectively in the Group A standings.

Burkina Faso will play host to Djibouti when the 2026 World Cup qualifiers resume in March 2025 while Sierra Leone take on Guinea-Bissau at home.


23:00: Ghana 4 (J. Ayew 5’ pen, 60’, 69’, Fatawu 62’) Central African Republic 3 (L. Mafouta 11’, 41’ 90’) – Full time in Kumasi, where an incredible match ends 4-3 in favour of the Black Stars! They rise to the top of Group I on nine points, while CAR are fifth on the log on four points.


22:57 — Guinea 0-1 Mozambique — FULL TIME — The Mambas are the big winners after grabbing it at the last minute. They are now tied with Algeria on points and are sitting second on the standings in Group G.

20h05: Guinea-Bissau v Egypt – Group A leaders Egypt drop points for the first time, although they still have a comfortable four-point cushion to Guinea-Bissau after four matches, with Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone a further two points adrift ahead of their clash later on this evening.

18h23: Guinea-Bissau v Egypt – Early setback for the Pharaohs as they are forced to make a substitution, with Mostafa Mohamed being replaced by Oufa.


18:23: Benin 0 Nigeria 0 – Past the midway point of the first half and we have seen no more than half chances at either end for the Cheetahs and the Super Eagles.

17h00 – Somalia 1-3 Botswana (Hassan 74′, Sesinyi 10′, Gaolaolwe 53′, Seakanyeng 71′): The Zebras climb up to the second spot in the Group G standings after overcoming the Ocean Stars who remain sixth on the table.


Somalia will be hoping to secure their first win in Group G when the 2026 World Cup qualifiers resume in March 2025 and Botswana will play host to Algeria.


16h59 – Full-time: Equatorial Guinea (Salvador 81’)  1-0 Malawi


16h59 – Equatorial Guinea vs Malawi: Salvador’s 81st minute proved to be the last notable bit of action of the tie as National Thunder managed to hold on in securing maximum points at home.

Then in what was a moment against the run of play, Equatorial Guinea took the lead in the 81st minute as Ivan Salvador added his name to the scoresheet after being picked out by Jannick Buyla en-route to the box.

16h28 – Somalia 0-2 Botswana: The Ocean Stars are attacking in numbers as they look to pull one back, but goalkeeper Goitseone Phoko is determined to keep a clean sheet this afternoon having made two saves thus far with 68 minutes played.
