According to reports in the media, Atletico Madrid are exploring options to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The Senegalese forward joined the Blues from Villarreal in a transfer worth £35million and subsequently battled to make a first impression during the 2023/24 campaign.
Jackson made 44 appearances for Chelsea last season and managed to score 17 goals plus six assists in all competitions. The African star often became a trending topic on social media among fans, following a string of high-profile misses during various games throughout the 23/24 campaign.
Now though, the Daily Mail reports that Jackson has now emerged as a top target for Atletico Madrid.
The same report mentions that Jackson became ‘disgruntled’ by Mauricio Pochettino and could seek an exit from the club as a result.
However, according to TalkSport, Chelsea will reject any offers for Jackson as they prepare their squad under new manager Enzo Maresca.
